I must have given over 300 high-fives to people during the course of the marathon. Here I am on the last few steps, dishing out high-fives to spectators just a few steps from the finish line. The fans for this race were unbelievable. They made you feel like a star! (I don’t see an option to rotate the photo on tumblr, though the photo is upright in all of my programs, sigh)

These looked so delicious. I didn’t have one though. The glaze on these took the blood red of the strawberries and just made it deeper. I will make plans to try one when I go back to NYC in November.

I think my earliest childhood memory was watching Michael Jackson’s thriller video on MTV. Well, at least for a few minutes before my mother came in and turned off the tv because it was the Devil’s music.
